With Marilyn Manson gearing up to release his latest studio album Born Villain, the shock rocker is preparing to embark on a tour that will take his band around Australia and Asia, from Sydney to Tokyo, throughout February and March this year. Born Villain will be his first release since The High End of Low, which saw the group recovering from the disaster that was Eat Me, Drink Me, released two years earlier.
To whet the appetites of his fans Manson shot a trailer for the album with actor-turned-director Shia LaBeouf (best known as Sam Witwicky from the Transformers movies), which gained both controversy and acclaim when it surfaced last summer. “I don’t know of a scarier figure in art,” LaBeouf told MTV at the time. “He, in my teenage years, was the scariest thing in the world, so part of me has always been intrigued.”
Marilyn Manson has announced the first dates for his upcoming tour of Europe, which will commence in June. The dates confirmed are as follows:
