Back in March, Cannibal Corpse released Torture, their twelfth studio album and first since 2009′s Evisceration Plague, in which they teamed up with Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal, once again acting as producer at his own studio in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The album received mostly positive reviews, with Consequence of Sound stating, “The production here is as clean as it’s been since 2006?s Kill; so, thick bass is thicker, loudness is louder, and we love every split second,” while Metal Underground said, “The only drawback to Torture is Fisher’s vocals. He has lost his bottom-end, and can only relate his middle to high (screams) range. Every other aspect of the album makes it their best work since Vile.”
The band’s label, Metal Blade Records, have announced that Cannibal Corpse will be touring Europe in support of the album, with rotating support from Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Aborted and Lay Down Rotten. The full list of dates are as follows:
