Hanoi Rocks may now finally have been laid to rest but that does not mean singer Michael Monroe has not kept in touch with his old friends. Now fronting his new eponymous band, Monroe has been performing with bassist Sam Yaffa, whom he had worked with on Hanoi Rocks during the early 1980s. But during a show at Qstock in Oulu, Finland on July 30th, Monroe and Yaffa were joined by Nasty Suicide, who had declined the chance to take part in the Hanoi Rocks reunion in 2001.
When the band initially split in 1985 following the death of drummer Razzle, Suicide had teamed up with fellow guitarist Andy McCoy for The Cherry Bombz, before forming his own group Cheap and Nasty. Despite having retired from the music industry during the 1990s, Suicide occasionally performed with the reformed Hanoi Rocks.
