Vince Neil should know the dangers of driving under the influence. The Mötley Crüe singer was just twenty-three when he lost control of his car in Los Angeles in December 1984, resulting in the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle. Neil was sentenced to thirty days in jail, $2.6m in fines and two hundred hours of community service, although he would eventually be released from jail after only eighteen days. Although he showed regret for the incident in last year’s autobiography, Tattoos & Tequila: To Hell and Back with One of Rock’s Most Notorious Frontmen, Neil had already been arrested for drunk driving whilst in Las Vegas three months before the book’s release. In an interview with People just two weeks before he is set to return to jail for a fifteen-day sentence, Neil claims; “I made a mistake, and I have to finally learn my lesson and go do a little bit of time… I’ve already learned my lesson… I just have to move on and get past it and get it behind me.”
