Eighteen years ago, Smashing Pumpkins released their breakthrough classic Siamese Dream. Whilst their debut, 1991′s Gish, had been overshadowed by the success of Nirvana‘s Nevermind, their sophomore effort would prove to be one of the finest records of the decade. Having split in 2000 after over a decade together, frontman Billy Corgan reformed the group six years later but was unable to convince neither guitarist James Iha or bassist D’arcy Wretzky to return. Nicole Fiorentino, who joined the band last year after a stint as a touring bassist, has claimed that she was one of the two twins that graced the front cover of the iconic album. Corgan claimed via his Twitter page; “Just found out the weirdest news: our bass player Nicole (@xocoleyf) just admitted she is one of the girls on the cover of Siamese Dream… She said she didn’t want us to know because she thought maybe we wouldn’t let her be in the band.”
