NEWS – Second Chickenfoot Album Almost Complete

A year before Black Country Communion began to dominate the supergroup market, legendary guitarist Joe Satriani enjoyed major acclaim with Chickenfoot, which saw him collaborating with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and former Van Halen frontman and bassist Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Their 2009 eponymous debut was soon followed by a live DVD, before Satriani embarked on a tour to promote his latest solo record, last year’s Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards.

Noisecreep report that Chickenfoot have almost completed their second album. Speaking to the site, Hager reveals; “We’re doing a new album right now and it’s fantastic… Chickenfoot‘s just such a great band. Chickenfoot is so much like when I joined Van Halen originally, the 5150 years (1986). We do everything so fast… I have a studio. When the Foot‘s in there, I call it The Foot Locker; when my band’s in there, I call it Red Rocker Recording. It’s going great. We have 12 wonderful new songs and I’m doing vocals and Joe’s doing overdubs. We’ve got all the basic tracks.”
