According to David Gilmour’s blog the legendary musician teamed up with his former Pink Floyd bandmate Roger Waters for the first time in five years at an event in support of the charity Hoping Foundation. The four-track performance took place on Saturday July 10th at Kiddington Hall in Oxfordshire, England and apparently raised approximately £350,000.
The duo were joined on stage with guitarist Chester Kamen (who previously appeared with Gilmour at Live Aid), bassist Guy Pratt (son-in-law of Pink Floyd‘s Richard Wright), drummer Andy Newmark (ex-Sly & the Family Stone) and keyboardists Jonjo Grisdale and Roger Waters’ son, Harry.
According to the site: “Songs were To Know Him Is To Love Him, which, I’m told, regularly featured in Pink Floyd sound checks way back when, followed by Pink Floyd favourites: Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and the one that got everybody singing along, Another Brick in the Wall (Part Two).”
