Despite having won last season’s Celebrity Apprentice and performed regularly around America Poison frontman Bret Michaels has still not recovered from the brain haemorrhage and mini stroke that hospitalised him earlier this year. People have reported that a spokeswoman for the rocker-turned-TV star has stated: “While Bret may be out on the road and performing, he is still not 100 percent… He still has pain from the chemical meningitis, short term memory loss and gets fatigued quicker than normal.” Michaels is currently hard at work promoting the upcoming release of his new album, Custom Built, that is due out next Tuesday, as well as hoping to land the role as Simon Cowell’s replacement on American Idol. Last week he was awarded a Citation Award from the American Diabetes Association, having publicly suffered with the illness for many years.
